Antonio Conte could be lured back to Italy with an astonishing £51 million contract reportedly on offer from Inter Milan.
Turin newspaper Tuttosport claims that negotiations are taking place with Roman Abramovich after Conte agreed to a four-year deal worth nearly £13 million each season.
The Suning Holdings Group, which owns the Nerazzurri, are ready to take drastic measures in order to return to Serie A title contention, with a fourth place finish their highest since 2010-11, which was also the last time they qualified for the Champions League.
Conte had only left the Italian competition in 2014 to coach the national team, and has since stormed into the Premier League to see his Chelsea side 10 points clear at the top of the table and firm favourites to claim their sixth title.
It is understood that should the 47-year-old make the stunning switch to the San Siro he would be given free reign over Inter’s sizeable transfer budget, with Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez another current target for the club.
