Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to sue manufacturers of a toy Nazi doll in his likeness called ‘Bastian’.
Hong Kong doll firm DiD are behind the range, but claim that any likeness to the German World Cup winner is purely coincidental.The company also produce James Bond and WW1 soldier toys, and their new range of SS soldiers, complete with eagles on the chest and shoulders, were due to arrive on toy shop shelves in Europe in the next few weeks, retailing at £65 each, but that looks like that will be put on hold after Schweinsteiger took legal advice.
