Juventus dominated early proceedings in Doha and took a deserved lead when Giorgio Chiellini volleyed them into an 18th-minute advantage at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
However, Milan responded well and the ever-reliable Giacomo Bonaventura headed them level seven minutes before the break, with the game ending up going into extra-time and then penalties.
And it was Vincenzo Montella’s side who emerged victorious, with Mario Pasalic scoring the winning penalty as Milan lifted the Supercoppa Italiana for the first time in five years.

Football Italia
are now reporting how Allegri was furious with the defeat, after a fan
video captured the Juventus boss in the stands gesticulating angrily
at directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, telling them that he
would give all the players “a good kicking”.
The former Milan boss was reportedly pointing towards his players from the stands, seemingly disappointed with the performance of his players – something he made clear in his press conference after the game.
“I am still very angry at what happened, because when you play in a final, what’s important is what you do on the pitch, those who come off the bench and above all the way you read the game,” Allegri said.
“It’s true we have played 27 matches since the start of the season, but we needed to play in a different way, with more focus on defending as a team. I mean that as a unit, not in terms of the defenders, because they did very well.
“It’s disappointing that two of my three substitutions were forced by injuries. Mario Lemina and Patrice Evra did well, but at that moment I wanted players with different characteristics and had no more changes left.”
