BROWN IDEYE CHALLENGE KICKS OFF TODAY

The much publicized Brown Ideye Challenge kicks off on today.
The tournament which would see twenty teams from Port Harcourt and environs go head to head to seek a champion, is being sponsored by Super Eagles and Olympiacos striker Brown Ideye.


Ideye says the tournament is his way of giving back to society and as well as present an opportunity to keep the football playing youngsters within Port Harcourt and environs busy.

The opening match will see Rumuowha FC and Awoba FC square off by 4pm in what has already been billed to be a tasty encounter.

Comedians and performers are expected to light up the NTA Port Harcourt premises, venue of the event from 3pm while kickoff proper will be by 4pm. 

On hand for the kickoff will be Nigeria Premier League legend Victor Ezeji who has fully thrown his weight behind the Ideye initiative.

Asides a total prize money of about a million naira to be won by participating teams, awards will also be presented to outstanding players.
