Roman Abramovich would sack Special One but can't

Roman Abramovich would normally have pressed the panic button by now.

It has become a routine as familiar as Jose Mourinho blaming the officials and everyone else but himself for Chelsea’s latest defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.
The billionaire owner has hired eight managers, fired four of them midway through a season, and each time the Blues have been in a much healthier position than now.
Roberto Di Matteo, Andre Villas-Boas and Luiz Felipe Scolari were all dismissed with the club either in the top four or within touching distance of the Champions League places.
Jose Mourinho keeps an eye on a Chelsea training session
Even Mourinho’s first spell in charge ended on September 20, 2007, when the club were fifth and two points off top spot.
The calibre of coach they want for the long term is Pep Guardiola or Diego Simeone. Neither of whom will be
available until the summer. And it remains to be seen whether they would want the Chelsea job.
That’s why Mourinho is still in place. There’s no one better. Even if he keeps daring the FA to punish him again, keeps asking for the sack with every demoralising defeat, keeps blaming everyone but himself, he’s still in charge.
