Leicester's Jamie Vardy in dreamland after matching Ruud van Nistelrooy's record

Jamie Vardy celebrates after scoring against Newcastle
After matching Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in 10 successive Premier League games in Leicester's 3-0 win at Newcastle, Jamie Vardy says he is still 'pinching himself'.

The England forward netted the opening goal for the Foxes on the stroke of half-time and could have had one or two more as Claudio Ranieri's side dominated at St James' Park to go top of the Premier League.
Ahead of the win over Newcastle, former Manchester United striker Van Nistelrooy had taken to social media to wish Vardy good luck in pursuit of his record, but Vardy was keeping his feet on the ground after putting his name alongside the Dutchman in the history books.
"Obviously I've matched Van Nistelrooy's record, but at the end of the day, we got the three points and a clean sheet," said Vardy, who co-incidentally can set a new mark when Leicester host Manchester United next Saturday.
"I kept getting it sent to me [Van Nistelrooy's message], so fair play to him for doing that. I've managed to get there, so we'll see what happens next week."
Vardy tweeted on Saturday night: "To every single person that has supported me and never doubted me...Thank you.....I'm still pinching myself!"
